What should a wife do towards her husband when she notices his lack of interest in her, his avoidance of sitting with her, and her feeling that he is not giving her her rights as a woman, in addition to her discovery that he is sexually weak? And is she entitled to divorce, and what are her rights over him?

A husband must treat his wife well and consider her emotional side, and sexual dysfunction does not preclude this. Sexual dysfunction may be a psychological symptom or due to sorcery. Therefore, she should think well of her husband, pray for his recovery, and guide him to seek medical treatment and ruqyah (definition) (Islamic exorcism). Sexual dysfunction is not a reason for annulment of marriage unless it reaches the point of impotence, in which case the husband is given one year to seek treatment. If he is unable to recover, the wife is given the choice to either remain married or separate.
