Does intentionally taking extra steps in the tawaf —before and after the Black Stone— for the sake of caution and certainty invalidate it, or is it like salat, where an increase invalidates it?

For the circumambulation (Tawaf (definition)) to be valid, it must consist of seven circuits, beginning and ending at the Black Stone. If one omits anything, even a single step, their Tawaf is invalid. If the circumambulator is close to the Stone, there is no need to start before it or end after it by steps. However, if they are far, they may take precaution by starting a few steps before it and ending a few steps after it to ensure the validity of their Tawaf. Some scholars have considered starting before the Stone to be an innovation and an extremism, while others hold that there is no harm in it if the goal is to ensure correct alignment.
