Is it permissible for me to pray the Witr prayer like the obligatory prayers?
Witr prayer is not performed in even numbers, but rather in an odd number of units, such as one, three, five, or more. It is performed between the 'Isha prayer and the rising of dawn. There are three ways to perform Witr with three rak'ahs:
1. Separation (Fasl): One prays two rak'ahs and then performs the (salutation), then prays a separate single rak'ah.
2. Continuous without sitting (Wasl bila Julus): One prays three continuous rak'ahs without sitting or performing the taslim except at the very end.
3. Continuous with sitting (Wasl bi Julus): One prays three rak'ahs with a sitting and after the second rak'ah without performing the taslim, then stands for the third rak'ah and performs the taslim after it (similar to the Maghrib prayer).
