Is it permissible to raise one's hands when supplicating with the morning and evening remembrances after prayer?

Raising the hands is not prescribed for the morning and evening adhkar, nor after the obligatory salawat (definition), due to the lack of evidence for its recommendation. The general principle regarding raising the hands is that it is recommended with every du'a, except in instances where the Prophet (peace be upon him) made du'a and did not raise his hands, such as making du'a during the Friday sermon (except for Istisqa' - prayer for rain), and making du'a during Tawaf (definition) and Sa'i, and making du'a immediately after salat. The Permanent Committee for Ifta' was asked about making du'a after the obligatory prayers and whether it is accompanied by raising the hands, to which they replied that raising the hands after the obligatory prayers is not a Sunnah (definition), and it is an innovation (bid'ah) because it was not transmitted from the Prophet (peace be upon him) nor from his Companions. However, making du'a without raising the hands is permissible.

Shaykh Ibn Baz stated that raising the hands in du'a is one of the causes for its acceptance, citing ahadith that indicate this, such as the hadith (definition): "Indeed, your Lord is Modest and Concealing; He is ashamed of His servant when he raises his hands to Him, that He should return them empty." However, in instances where the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not raise his hands, we do not raise them, such as during the Friday sermon (except for Istisqa'), between the two prostrations, before the taslim (definition) at the end of the final tashahhud (definition), and after the taslim of the five daily prayers. As for the instances where the Prophet (peace be upon him) did raise his hands, the Sunnah in those cases is to raise the hands in imitation of him. Likewise, in instances where no specific mention of raising or not raising hands was narrated from the Prophet, hands should be raised based on the ahadith indicating that raising hands is one of the causes for du'a acceptance.
