What is the ruling on reciting Surat Al-Fath with the intention of supporting the people of Gaza against their enemy, citing the Hadith of the Prophet's recitation of Surat Al-Fath on the day of the conquest of Mecca?

Designating the recitation of a specific surah (definition) from the Quran as an omen for victory is an innovated act, having no basis in the Sunnah (definition). It is obligatory to adhere to what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, brought. Among the innovations is designating the recitation of a verse or a surah for a specific need without evidence, such as reciting Surat Al-Fatihah for fulfilling needs, or reciting Surat Al-Kahf aloud on Friday before the sermon, or reciting Surat Ya-Sin forty times for fulfilling needs.

What is prescribed is seeking nearness to Allah through righteous deeds such as prayer, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), Quran recitation, and supplication. We should also support our mujahideen brothers by supplicating for them and benefiting them with what they need, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Are you helped and provided for except by your weak ones?"

As for the Prophet’s, peace and blessings be upon him, recitation of Surat Al-Fath on the day of the conquest of Mecca, it does not indicate the desirability of designating it with the intention of victory, because the time of its recitation is unknown, and his recitation was due to its revelation and Allah’s promise therein of entering Mecca, in remembrance of Allah’s grace and the truthfulness of His promise. Had the purpose been to evoke the intention of victory, he would have commanded his companions to do so.
