Does making up two days' worth of prayers mean performing ten prayers a day, and would performing fewer than that be acceptable?

The Maliki school holds that whoever has many missed prayers, and then prays two days' worth of prayers each day, is not considered negligent. If they make up less than two days' worth of prayers while being able to do so, they are considered negligent, but their obligation is discharged to the extent that they have made up. The minimum by which a person is not called negligent is making up two days' worth in one day. What is meant by "two days' worth of prayers" is performing ten missed prayers in one day.
