Is the Farewell Tawaf considered valid if the circumambulator separated its circuits with a two-rak'ah prayer and then completed the remaining circuits?

Scholars have differed on the ruling concerning the continuity (muwalat) between the circuits of Tawaf (definition), holding three opinions. If the interruption is minor, it does not cause harm by agreement. However, if it is prolonged, disagreement arises. The view that Tawaf is valid even without continuity between its circuits is a strong opinion. It is the most correct view according to the Shafi'is, the madhhab (definition) of the Hanafis, and one narration from Ahmad. If the Tawaf is valid, then nothing is required of him. According to the other view, which necessitates continuity, he owes a blood sacrifice (dam) for having missed the farewell Tawaf.
