Voluntary Prayers
- Which is better and carries a greater reward for the Eid prayers before the Imam enters: Tasbih and remembering Allah with the congregation, or performing supererogatory prayers?
- Is it permissible to compel oneself to perform a supererogatory act after an increase in worldly worries and the difficulty of performing it, or is it better to abandon it and confine oneself to the obligatory duties until the heart becomes clear?
- Is it valid to perform a two-rak'ah prayer between the Adhan and Iqamah at home, and a two-rak'ah prayer for ablution before the obligatory prayer?
- Is it correct for the Tarawih prayer to be 12 rak'ahs with Witr in the last third of the night, knowing that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray 11 rak'ahs? And is it correct to suffice with 10 rak'ahs of Tarawih and one Witr? And is a Muslim held accountable for not adhering to audible and inaudible recitation in prayer?

- Is it permissible to continue performing two rak'ahs before sleep daily to fulfill a vow, and is it permissible to perform two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer daily with the intention of fulfilling a vow, and is it possible to combine the intention of performing the Sunnah of Fajr with the intention of fulfilling a vow in a single prayer?
- Is it better, when observing devotion between the evening (Maghrib) and night (Isha) prayers, to limit oneself to reciting Surat Al-Fatihah and Surat Al-Ikhlas in each unit of prayer (rak'ah) for the purpose of increasing prostrations, and does a reward of a qintar for each unit of prayer result from that due to reciting ten verses, or is it better to recite one's daily portion (wird) from the Qur'an, and which of the two carries a greater reward and higher rank?
- Are supererogatory acts taken to compensate for deficiencies in obligatory acts if they are only the Sunan of prayer, or does this extend to include voluntary fasting and Sadaqat?
- Are these intrusive thoughts—which include threats of bad things happening if you don't pray a missed prayer after Asr, prolonging prayer after Fajr, and cursing oneself for not going to the mosque—considered obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and must they be followed?
- Why is the topic of sunrise always specified, and is the prayer performed before sunrise considered the Fajr prayer?
- How can one indirectly help a sister who does not pray and is unfamiliar with ruqyah, with marriage and ruqyah?
- Why is voluntary night prayer an honor for the believer, even though this virtue is not mentioned regarding the obligatory prayers?
- Is it permissible to perform the night vigil (qiyam al-layl) secretly without the parents' knowledge, when this conflicts with the mother's prohibition and obedience to parents is obligatory?
- Is it necessary for the Witr prayer to be the last prayer of the night, or is it permissible to perform the night vigil (Qiyam al-Layl) or the Istikhara prayer after it?
