Pre-seminal fluid (madhiy) is discharged during thought or foreplay. The default is that it is not discharged unless there is a cause for it. The ruling concerning normal vaginal discharge is explained in no. 90938. ' (washing the private parts) is only obligatory when the discharge of madhiy is confirmed. If there is doubt between madhiy and vaginal discharge, a woman may choose and assign it the ruling she wishes. Please refer to Fatwa no. 118035.
