The question

What is the Praiseworthy Station (Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud) mentioned in Surah Al-Isra, verse (79)? Is it exclusive to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or is it a reward for everyone who prays at night? And can I ask Allah for this station for myself and my parents?

The answer

The Praised Station (Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud) is the great intercession of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the Day of Judgment, so that Allah may relieve people from the intensity of that day. Asking for the Praised Station in supplication is considered an act of transgression in supplication because it is exclusive to the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him.
