The number "40" is mentioned four times in the Qur'an and frequently in the , such as the descent of revelation upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after the age of forty. It cannot be claimed that forty, to the exclusion of other numbers, possesses a miraculous quality, nor can this be denied except with clear scientific proof.
