Does caring for family responsibilities and looking after a sick mother count as jihad, and does that compensate for being unable to memorize the Holy Quran with its rules in the mosque?

Combining family care with memorizing the Quran is best. However, if this is not possible, then prioritizing the care of one's husband and children, and attending to one's mother, is obligatory. This is because memorizing the entire Quran is not obligatory, whereas obeying one's husband and honoring one's parents are obligatory. We advise showing kindness to the mother, especially if she is elderly, based on the Almighty's saying: "And to parents, do good," and the hadith (definition): "May he be humiliated, then may he be humiliated, then may he be humiliated." It was asked, "Who, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "He who reaches old age with one or both of his parents and does not enter Paradise."
