We advise you to fear Allah, and to be patient, persistent, and determined in acquiring knowledge, while observing the obligatory prayers, increasing acts of seeking forgiveness, staying away from what Allah has forbidden, and being cautious of wasting time. Do not abandon formal education, for it holds benefit for your religion and your worldly life. Accompany a pious shaykh, set a strict schedule for memorization and revision, seek help from serious students, keep away from bad company, and perform (prayer for guidance) and consult before making decisions.
