The answer

Reciting the Quran is among the best acts of worship, especially during . However, the scenario described in the question, involving collective Quran recitation by dividing and distributing the ajza' (parts) so that each individual reads a specific part of the Holy Quran, is an innovation (bid'ah) for which there is no precedent from the Prophet (peace be upon him), his companions, or the righteous predecessors.

The permissible form of collective recitation is for the reciters to gather in one place, and each one recites for himself, or one recites while others listen, or each one recites what is easy for him, and the next person continues from where the first left off. This is known as al-idarah (taking turns).

This innovative form of collective recitation has no benefit, because each member reads individually, without others joining or listening to him, so it has no connection to the permissible collective recitation. This innovation also has a negative impact on the members' performance of worship in its proper manner, as it may weaken their resolve and decrease their desire to recite the Quran and complete its recitation frequently. Furthermore, no one knows the intention of each reciter, or whether they completed their recitation purely for the sake of Allah the Almighty.

Indeed, "man will only have what he endeavored for." Therefore, this form is an innovation and is not permissible. It diverts the reciter from the prescribed and lawful way of reciting the Quran and weakens his resolve in reciting and completing it by himself.
