"The 'Second Life' program is impermissible to join due to the many corrupting elements it contains, including: wasting one's life in a world of illusion and fantasy, its inclusion of places of immorality and corruption, its allowance of chatting with women and forming illicit relationships, distracting a Muslim from their real life and duties, its impact on creed by conceptualizing a second life, and its invitation to false religions and doctrines. Furthermore, engaging with it may lead to psychological illnesses and personality dissociation as a result of the clash between the virtual world and reality. It cannot be used as a means of da'wah (inviting to Islam) except by a select few among people of knowledge and understanding."
