The question

How can parents be persuaded to agree to their only daughter marrying a man she loves, who is from another city, given their continuous refusal, citing her young age, the distance, and its impact on her studies, knowing that the girl and her family have sought God's guidance multiple times, and the girl does not wish to marry anyone else she does not love?

The answer

The woman must repent from the emotional relationship with a foreign man. Marriage is the best remedy for such a relationship, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is nothing better for two who love each other than marriage." Parents should not refuse marriage due to young age or ongoing studies if the suitor is competent and of good character and religious commitment. Parents can be persuaded with the help of close relatives. If they agree, then that is good and blessed. Otherwise, it is not permissible to marry without their consent, as obeying them is obligatory. You bear no sin if he does not marry you. You must turn your heart away from him and stop thinking about him. Allah may replace him with someone better for you because of your obedience to your parents.
