Did Hind bint Utbah request the exhumation of the grave of the Prophet's mother during the Quraysh march to Uhud, and what is the authenticity of the narrations about her cutting off the ears of the martyrs and making a necklace from them?

The report regarding Hind's attempt to exhume the grave of Aminah, the Prophet's mother (peace and blessings be upon him), which Al-Azraqi narrated in "Akhbar Makkah," is very weak, almost fabricated. This is due to the weakness of its chain of narration, which includes an unknown narrator (Hisham bin Asim) and another whose narrations are abandoned (Abdul-Aziz bin Imran). Likewise, the reports about her cutting off the ears of martyrs to make them into a necklace are also not authentic.

Regardless of what is authentic or not authentic concerning Hind before her conversion to Islam, her embracing Islam obliterated what preceded it, as mentioned in the hadith (definition) of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the transformation of Hind's love and honor for the household of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after Islam. Indeed, Islam demolishes what came before it, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) affirmed to Amr ibn al-Aas, and as stated in the Almighty's saying: ﴿Say to those who disbelieve, if they cease, what has passed will be forgiven them﴾ [Quran 8:38]. Allah indeed forgave Hind through her repentance from shirk (definition) (polytheism), and she became one of the believers.
