Is Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn A'yan Al-Harrani abandoned because of Abu Hatim Al-Razi's statement: "I met him, but I did not write from him"? And is his copy from Ma'qil ibn 'Ubaydullah, from Abu Al-Zubair Al-Makki, from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), flawed and weak, even though Imam Muslim narrated from him with this chain of transmission in his Sahih?

Al-Hasan (definition) ibn Muhammad ibn A'yan al-Harrani is: "Saduq" (truthful). He narrated from his paternal uncle Musa ibn A'yan, Ma'qal ibn Ubaydillah al-Jazari, and others. Al-Fadl ibn Ya'qub al-Rukhami and Salamah ibn Shabib narrated from him. Abu 'Arubah said: He died in the year 210 AH. Abu Hatim did not write from him and found some reservation in his heart regarding his narrations, whereas Al-Nasa'i and Al-Dhahabi declared him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "Al-Thiqat" (The Trustworthy Ones). Al-Bukhari narrated one hadith (definition) from him, and Muslim narrated from him in several places. He narrated a version from Ma'qal ibn Ubaydillah, from Abu Al-Zubayr, from Jabir. This version has been criticized due to Ma'qal ibn Ubaydillah's weakness in narrating from Abu Al-Zubayr specifically, but this does not necessarily imply that the texts are objectionable.
