Is it permissible to say: "My Lord, it is glory enough for me that You are my Lord, and honor enough for me that I am Your servant. You are as I love, so make me as You love"?

There is no harm in phrases such as "Lord of Your servant" and "The believer takes pride in Allah Almighty's Lordship over him." The believer asks Allah to grant him success in what He loves and is pleased with. Among the reasons for tasting the flavor of faith is being content with Allah as Lord, Islam as a religion, and Muhammad as a Prophet, as stated in the noble Hadith (definition). The well-known supplication, "O Allah, what You have provided me of what I love, make it a strength for me in what You love, and what You have withheld from me of what I love, make it a void for me in what You love," confirms this meaning. Moreover, servitude to Allah is the most honorable and perfect quality of a believer. Qadi Iyad expressed this honor by saying: "And what increased me in honor and pride... is my inclusion under Your saying, 'O My servants.'"
