Is the hadith “A black, fertile woman is better than a beautiful, barren woman” authentic, and should its authenticity be acted upon if the majority of scholars have declared it weak?

A number of scholars have deemed this hadith (definition) weak, among them Al-Uqaili, Al-Iraqi, Al-Haithami, Al-Suyuti, Al-Albani, and others. There is no one among the prominent hadith scholars who authenticated it. The rulings of the early scholars are more deserving of acceptance because they were further removed from personal bias and were more precise in authenticating and weakening hadiths, whereas later scholars might be more lenient. Therefore, it is preferable to adhere to what they have deemed weak.
