What is the authenticity of the hadith narrated by Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, concerning the Prophet's sleep and conversation after the 'Isha prayer, which is narrated with the wording: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, sleeping before this prayer, nor conversing after it; either sleeping to be safe [from sin], or praying to gain [reward]?"

It is disliked to converse after the 'Isha prayer, except for a necessary matter, such as prayer, seeking knowledge, or conversing with a guest. The proof for this is the hadith (definition) from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from his aunt 'Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, as well as what is reported in the Two Sahihs from Abu Barzah Al-Aslami that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to dislike sleeping before 'Isha and conversing after it.
