What is the religious ruling on inciting discord, backbiting an individual, and tarnishing their reputation by accusing them of theft, and how can one repent from that, knowing that they were acquitted and are known for their righteousness and commitment? And does the fact that they drive a car while being an employee justify accusing them of theft?

Harming a believer and striving to sow discord between him and people is a grave sin. Among the conditions for sincere repentance is to free oneself from the rights of others. Therefore, it is obligatory to seek forgiveness from those who have been wronged and to rectify what you have corrupted. If one fears greater harm, then he should frequently supplicate for and seek forgiveness for the wronged person. It is not permissible to accuse anyone of theft without evidence.
