If your wealth is insufficient to cover your expenses for food, clothing, housing, and other necessities, then you are poor or needy, and it is permissible for you to receive al-Fitr. The recipients of Zakat al-Fitr are only the poor and the needy. If you are not poor or needy, it is not permissible for you to take Zakat al-Fitr, and you must inform the person who gave it to you that you are not among those entitled to receive it.
