What is the ruling on an intermittent worker accepting Zakat al-Fitr?

It is not permissible to give zakat (whether Zakat al-Fitr or Zakat on wealth) to the rich, who is someone who possesses what suffices their needs, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "Zakat expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy." Therefore, whoever owns a house, a vehicle, and sufficient provisions for himself and his dependents is neither poor nor needy, and it is not lawful for him to take zakat. As for whoever does not have enough for his needs, he is poor and deserves zakat, even if he is employed.
