What is the reward for one who guides visitors and 'Umrah performers to the right path?

Guiding those who are lost, including pilgrims (Mu'tamireen) and visitors, is among the best deeds due to its immense virtues. It is: 1. Charity (Sadaqah (definition)): As the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Guiding someone on the way is charity," and it is among the charities through which a person expiates for their joints. 2. Equivalent to freeing a slave: As the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever gives a loan of paper [money], or gold, or gives milk to drink, or guides to an alleyway: it is as if he has freed a slave." 3. Among the acts of beneficence beloved by Allah: For Allah loves those who do good, and helping people and guiding them on the path is a manifestation of beneficence towards them. 4. A cause for Allah's help and facilitation of affairs: For the reward is commensurate with the deed, and whoever helps his brother, Allah will help him.

These deeds are even more virtuous in the Two Holy Sanctuaries (Makkah and Madinah). Guides should seek reward for them and familiarize themselves with places and routes to facilitate guidance. If sufficient experience is not available, one should politely apologize and direct the inquirer to someone capable of helping.
