What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a husband who speaks very little to his wife and does not talk to his son, which has caused his wife psychological distress and self-doubt, despite the husband's kindness and trustworthiness?

A husband's silence towards his wife and children is not a sign of good companionship. Rather, he should talk to his wife, be affectionate with her, and play with her, and he should converse with his children and raise them. The wife should investigate the reason for her husband's reluctance to speak, especially if this is a new behavior, and try to address the cause if it stems from her. She should also utilize his times of rest and joy to show him affection and praise him, and to prepare a comfortable home for him and adorn herself for him. She should make him feel her tenderness and subtly hint at her dissatisfaction with the situation, and advise him. Furthermore, she should diligently recite remembrance (dhikr) as there is a possibility that the husband may have been afflicted by the evil eye.
