Is the Preserved Tablet created, and if so, how can it contain the uncreated Qur’an? And is the light by which the darkness was illuminated from the light of Allah’s Face? And have Allah’s attributes become immanent in His creation?

First: The Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz) is a created being like all other creatures. Everything other than Allah is created, existing after having been non-existent. There is no issue with the Quran being inscribed therein.

Second: Light is one of Allah the Almighty's attributes, as stated in His saying: ﴿And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord﴾ [Quran 39:69]. Allah’s light is an attribute inherent in His essence and does not indwell in created beings. Light is of two types: created light, such as the light of the sun and moon, and uncreated light, which is an attribute among the attributes of Allah the Almighty. This is the truth upon which the Ahlus-Sunnah (definition) wal-Jama'ah (People of the Sunnah and the Community) have proceeded, as in His saying: ﴿Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth﴾ [Quran 24:35]. The hadith (definition): "I seek refuge in the light of Your Countenance by which all darknesses are illuminated" is weak.
