Reciting the verse: "He does not utter any word except that with him is an observer, ready [to record]" does not cause disbelief. One must strive against satanic whispers and occupy oneself with studying alongside righteous companions. It is obligatory to respect the Prophets and believe in what they brought from Allah. One should not believe what is attributed to Jesus, peace be upon him, unless it is mentioned in the Qur'an or authentic Sunnah (definition). What is found in the books of the People of the Book does not necessitate belief, based on the saying: "Do not believe the People of the Book, nor disbelieve them." Spitting on a book is considered bad manners but is forgivable, Allah willing, due to the whisperings, and does not reach the level of disbelief.
