What is the zakat threshold for fruit-bearing trees such as olive, plum, fig, and pear trees?

The ruling concerning zakat on olives and figs has been detailed in previous fatwas. As for the other types of fruits mentioned, zakat is not obligatory on them according to the majority of scholars, unless they are sold and a hawl (full lunar year) passes on their price after it reaches the nisab (threshold) by itself or when combined with other money or trade goods. The nisab for banknotes and the amount due has been clarified in a previous fatwa.
