Am I obliged to do something if I am one of those who rejoice in what they have brought and love to be praised for what they have not done, bearing in mind that I am repentant and trying to do good and avoid major sins, and I do not like to be praised for what I have not done and conceal my good deeds?

A servant's fear of the verses of warning is a praiseworthy matter. Every Muslim should present himself to the Qur'an, fear its warnings, hope for its promises, persevere in acts of obedience, and repent. And a servant's joy in the encouragement found in the deeds he performs, hoping for reward, is not blameworthy; rather, it is a sign of faith, as stated in the hadith: "Whoever is pleased by his good deed and grieved by his bad deed, that is the believer."
