Is it permissible for a man to wear gold in a quantity not exceeding two grams?

A group of scholars permitted men to wear a small amount of gold if it is secondary to another material and not independent. Scholars disagreed on this matter, with the most prominent view being the permissibility of a small amount of gold in clothing and weapons. This includes gold embroidery (traz) if it is four fingers or less, and gold thread (khazz al-qabban). As for the hadith, "No amount of gold is permissible, not even a tiny speck (khazz basīṣah)," it is interpreted as referring to standalone gold, such as a ring.
