What is your eminence's opinion regarding a young man who forgets what he has read in books and reaches a state of despair, desiring to stop reading and donate his books?

Donating books is permissible. One should not abandon studying, for learning is an act of worship, and a Muslim should occupy their time with reciting the Quran and reading beneficial books for their religion and worldly life. One must strive to cure forgetfulness.
