Is it a condition for the zakat of two sheep (out of 120 sheep) that they be large, or small, or one large and the other small?

If the number of sheep reaches 120, then one sheep is due as Zakat. If it increases by one (121), then two sheep are due. Young animals are counted towards the Nisab (threshold) but are not given in Zakat; rather, a mature animal (Jadha'ah – six months for sheep and one year for goats) is to be given. It is obligatory that the Zakat given be from the average quality of the wealth, not from its finest or worst. Rather, it should be a mature sheep of average value, intermediate between the young and the old. So, if half the flock consists of young animals and half of mature ones, a Jadha'ah should be given, whose value is intermediate between the value of a young animal and a mature one.
