What is the ruling regarding a wife's refusal to inform her husband about the destinations of her salary expenditures and the amount of her salary, after her guardian and brothers verbally agreed to the husband's request to know this at the time of the marriage contract, not merely giving permission?

The basic principle is that a mature woman has an independent financial standing and the right to dispose of her wealth without her husband's permission. This is in accordance with the resolution of the Islamic Fiqh Academy. However, it is recommended for her to consult her husband and not to go against what he dislikes. If the husband stipulated, at the time of the marriage contract, that she inform him about her expenditures, and the wife was aware of this condition and agreed to it, then she is obligated to fulfill it. As a matter of grace and good conduct, both spouses are advised to exchange trust and consultation, as concealing financial matters can negatively impact the marital relationship.
