Is it permissible to supplicate with: "O Allah, just as magic harmed me by Your permission, so too heal and restore me from it by Your power and might," and is this considered an act of discontent or audacity towards Allah, with reference to the verses: "And they do not harm anyone thereby except by permission of Allah" and "And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him"?

Sorcery does no harm except by the permission of Allah Almighty, as stated in Surat Al-Baqarah: "And they do not harm anyone thereby except by permission of Allah." As for repelling sorcery with supplication and showing weakness to Allah, there is no prohibition in it, just as Ayyub (Job), peace be upon him, did: "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful." However, proper conduct with Allah necessitates avoiding attributing evil to Him. Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon him, said: "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me," attributing healing to Allah but not the illness. Likewise, the believing jinn said: "Is evil intended for those on earth, or does their Lord intend for them guidance?" They attributed evil to the passive voice and good to Allah. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said in his supplication: "And all good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You."
