What is the ruling on the adultery of a wife whose marriage contract has been concluded but with whom the husband has not yet consummated the marriage—is it stoning or lashing?

Adultery is a grave indecency that removes the quality of faith from its perpetrator, and adulterers are tormented in the grave with fire. The punishment for an unmarried adulterer is one hundred lashes, while the punishment for a married adulterer is stoning to death. The conditions for being considered 'married' (muhsan) are seven: penetration in the vagina, in a valid marriage, with freedom, puberty, sanity, and that the penetration be complete from both parties. Thus, a wife who has been contracted but whose husband has not consummated the marriage with her is punished with flogging, not stoning, if she commits adultery.
