Is the coincidence of repeated verses in the Quran that were on the reciter's mind a divine coincidence or not, and does God speak to ordinary humans?
An ordinary person cannot be spoken to directly by Allah the Almighty in this world while awake, nor can new legislation be revealed to him through revelation. Revelation has ceased, and prophethood was sealed after Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as Allah Almighty says: "Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets," and His saying: "And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a veil or by sending a messenger to reveal by His permission what He wills. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise." However, inspiration and divine discourse (tahdith) may occur for some people, as happened to Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.
