How can one achieve piety towards God to obtain sustenance from sources one does not anticipate and to overcome financial hardship, as stated in the verse: "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect"?

Piety (Taqwa) is for the servant to place a barrier between himself and Allah's punishment through righteous deeds and supplication. It encompasses all good, for whoever fears Allah (has Taqwa of Allah), He will make for him a way out, and provide for him from where he does not expect, and will make his affair easy for him, and will expiate his evil deeds, and magnify his reward. Part of piety is to take the means of sustenance and strive on earth. So, whoever fears Allah by abandoning the forbidden and performing the obligations, and takes the lawful means of sustenance, Allah will provide him with lawful sustenance.
