Is reciting Surat Al-Fatihah by the team before the start of a match an innovation (bid‘ah) or permissible?

Reciting Al-Fatihah or the Quran with the intention of facilitating a matter is permissible and lawful, based on the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever recites the Quran, let him ask Allah by it." As for commencing gatherings with a Quranic recitation, this is not from the guidance of the Salaf (pious predecessors), nor is there any known origin for it. Some scholars have considered it an innovation, however, it is permissible to do it occasionally, not as a permanent custom or habit. The work of the team reciting the Quran must be permissible and free from unlawful acts.
