What is the ruling on insulting martyrs or those killed by the occupier?

Reviling the martyrs is an act of disbelief if their revilement is due to their support for the religion. However, if it is for a worldly matter, then it is a harm to Muslims and a grave sin. This is indicated by the general Qur'anic verses and prophetic traditions that prohibit harming Muslims and reviling the dead.
