Is it permissible for a man to wear a silver chain around his neck, knowing that he is unable to listen to the Qur'an or maintain prayers on time?

It is permissible for men to wear silver chains. Completely abandoning listening to the Qur’an falls under the blameworthy abandonment of the Qur’an, and one should listen to it from time to time. A Muslim should have a daily portion of Qur’an recitation. Delaying prayer and neglecting to perform it in congregation is a great sin, and delaying it beyond its prescribed time is one of the greatest forbidden acts. It is not permissible to combine all prayers at one time; rather, Dhuhr is combined with Asr, and Maghrib with Isha, only in cases of legitimate excuses. One must repent to Allah and perform prayer at its appointed time.
