Is wearing silver unlawful for men, and does it invalidate prayer?

It is permissible for a man to wear a silver ring, to adorn war instruments, and to wear a belt adorned with silver. Scholars have differed on matters other than these. Wearing what is permissible by consensus does not invalidate the prayer. Similarly, what is disputed concerning its permissibility does not invalidate the prayer according to those who deem it impermissible, but one would be sinful for wearing it.
