Is expiation (kaffarah) obligatory for one who has intercourse with his wife during a makeup day (yawm qada') for Ramadan?

Whoever has intercourse with his wife on a day of qadaa' (making up for a missed fast) has committed a sin by invalidating his fast, but the expiation for intercourse during Ramadan is not obligatory upon him. Rather, he must make up one day in place of that day, and some say two days. The majority of scholars agree that there is no expiation for intentionally breaking a fast during qadaa' for Ramadan, because it does not have the sacredness of fasting Ramadan itself.
