Is the poor person who supplicated to God with the supplication of one in dire necessity, for God to enrich him, considered to be in dire necessity in this case, and will God answer his prayer?

The one in distress (al-mudtarr) is he who is afflicted by necessity, such as poverty or illness, and supplicates to Allah, knowing that there is none to answer him but He. Such a supplication is hoped to be answered, but it is contingent upon the will of Allah Almighty. Al-Alusi explained "al-mudtarr" as one whom severe hardship has compelled and driven to Allah. Ibn Abbas said he is "al-majhūd" (the one exhausted by effort or hardship), and Al-Suddi said he is one who has no power or strength. It was also said that he is the sinner who seeks forgiveness. Therefore, if the poor person is sincere in his supplication, it is hoped that he will be among those in distress whose prayers are hoped to be answered.
