Is the reward of one who catches the congregational prayer greater than my reward due to the delayed cessation of urine? Will Allah reward me for the hardship of purification? Does the ruling of one afflicted with سلس (incontinence) apply to me in fearing the expiration of the time, such as one-third or half of the night for 'Isha' and the yellowing of the sun for 'Asr? Is one who delays prayer without a valid excuse sinful? Is a study lesson a valid excuse to delay 'Asr until just before Maghrib?

If it is not possible to perform prayer in congregation at the mosque due to incontinence (discharge of urine), you will still receive the reward of congregational prayer if you were keen on it and were prevented only by the excuse, while striving to perform it in congregation at home. This is indicated by the Hadith: "If a slave falls ill or travels, Allah records for him a reward similar to what he used to do when he was healthy and resident." If the discharge of urine stops, even during the time of necessity (ḍarūrah), it is obligatory to wait until it stops, then purify oneself and pray, because a person with constant impurity (ḥadath dāʾim) is required to do so if they can perform the prayer in a way that is free from any excuse. Attending a lesson or a lecture is not an excuse to delay prayer until the time of necessity.
