What is the ruling on the prayer of one who wishes to urinate, fearing the loss of congregational prayer, knowing that he suffers from urinary incontinence?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is disliked for a person to begin prayer while restraining urine or feces, due to the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no prayer in the presence of food, nor when one is resisting the two impurities (urine and feces)." If one fears missing the congregational prayer, they should relieve themselves. If one fears the prayer time expiring, the majority of scholars hold that it is obligatory to perform it within its prescribed time, while some have permitted delaying it to relieve oneself.
