"Whoever is overcome in their mind by magic, madness, or obsessive whispers (waswas), and the like, to the extent that they lose their faculties and their intellect departs; such a person is not held accountable for their actions, based on the Almighty's saying: 'Except for him who is compelled [to renounce his religion] while his heart is at ease with faith.' The one afflicted by magic should recite ruqyah upon themselves, increase in the remembrance of Allah, supplication, and recitation of the Quran, and consult trustworthy psychiatrists. The cure for obsessive whispers is to ignore them and turn away from them."
