Is the reward for reciting the Holy Quran obtained only by reading it from the Mushaf, or is a Muslim also rewarded for listening to a recorded recitation of the Holy Quran?

Reciting the Quran carries immense reward, but recitation is only counted when the tongue is moved with it. The evidence for this is the Almighty’s saying: (Move not your tongue concerning [the Quran] to make haste thereby. Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [then] its recitation. So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation). As for recording a recitation, the listener is rewarded for benefiting from it. Whoever listens to a verse from the Book of Allah will have a multiplied good deed, and whoever recites it will have light on the Day of Resurrection.
