What is the wisdom behind naming a Surah in the Noble Qur’an "Surat An-Nisa" (The Women), and there being no Surah named "Surat Ar-Rijal" (The Men)? And does this go back to the woman being a nurturing vessel for humanity, or a starting point for reform and corruption in the universe?

Surat An-Nisa (The Women) was given this name because it specializes in mentioning rulings concerning women, such as rulings on maintaining kinship ties, marriage, and inheritance. It begins and ends with rulings specific to women. It was named Surat An-Nisa during the era of the Salaf, and no other name for it is known.

As for why no surah was named after men, seeking such wisdom not explicitly stated in the Sharia is among the embellishments of knowledge, not its core. It is based on conjecture and speculation and does not have a significant impact. Some contemporaries have delved into the wisdom behind this. Sheikh Abdul Majeed Al-Zindani mentioned that Allah addressed men in most verses because the Arabic language requires the male gender to be predominant in address. He also stated that Allah revealed a complete surah named "An-Nisa" and "Al-Jinn" due to His wisdom and knowledge of those who would later criticize the scarcity of mentioning women and jinn in the Quranic address. Sheikh Muhammad Jamil Zeno mentioned that dedicating a surah to women without men indicates Islam's concern for and honoring of women.
