Does a divorce in which I told my wife, "You are divorced after one hundred years," take effect, knowing that I suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder, and if it does, what is the ruling on reconciliation?

This divorce is not effective because it is conditioned upon an impossible future event, such as saying: "You are divorced after a hundred years." In this regard, Khalil al-Maliki stated in his abridgment: "He does not break his oath if he conditions it upon an impossible future event, such as 'if the sky is touched,' or... or 'that which does not resemble reaching puberty.'"

It is advised to ignore these whisperings (waswas) and be wary of indulging them.
